When you turn on the game hold all buttons until you see a new screen instead of
exibition. Snop around.

Hidden Team:
At the exhibiton screen press L2 and R2 until you get a hidden team.

More Hidden Teams:
This code is for Madden 97. I'm not sure if this is a code are not. Go
to exhibition and use the random select (L2 + R2). When you do it a few
times you will see six teams that you can't select go past. Do it a few
times and it will end up on one of the secret teams. The secret teams
are Turricon, All 50's and 60's, all 80's, nfc, afc, all time madden,
and ea sports team. If you pick an old team like the 68 colts, 71 and 72
dolphins, or 68 chiefs, you will ahve a better chance of landing on one
of the teams.

More More Extra Teams:
This will give you 7 extra teams to play with. At the user screen, enter
"TIBURON". Press X to accept this name, then press O to back out. At the team
select screen, there should be 7 new teams to wreak havoc with.

All Movies:
If you want to see all the movies and video clips in Madden 97' hold R1 when it
says Sony Playstation and gives the Playstation Symbol wait about a minute and
it will get you to a screen where you can select which movie you want to see.

Block All:
This code i great for blocking extra points and field goals: Go to 3-4 and go
all the way down to INSIDE HEAT. Now choose it with X you should be able to
block the field goal by putting or highlighting the middle guy in the deffensive
line. As soon as the they hike the ball rush in a just jump. The ball should be
blocked it always works for me.

Hints:
Do shotgun, any amount of wide recievers then pick double flag. Throw
the ball to either your square guy or your circle guy.This play works
every time.
Do single back, any amount of wide recievers then pick flea flicker.
Throw the ball to your R guy. He will be wide open down the field. This
play won't work if you don't let the reciever flick the ball to the qb
or if you get under pressure. So you have to execute this play quick.
Do near, any amount of wide recievers then pick post stop. Roll with
the qb to either the left or the right and wait till the square or
circle guy (which ever one you're throwing to) cuts over the middle
throw the ball to one of them when they stop. If you execute this play
correctly it will work all the time.
However, I don't like to do these plays a lot because it is cheap. I
like playing realisticly. This is for those who are beginners.
Here's a play that's pretty much invincible, i have tried numerous defenses
against it, and there seems to be no way to stop it.
In shotgun, choose five wide receivers. The play is called double flags.
just snap the ball, and wait about two seconds. the square guy will almost
always catch the ball for a ten to fifteen yard gain. if the square guy is
not open then the circle guy will be. if the defense is running a zone
defense, the x guy will be open. So you have three receivers to make a play.
one will definitely catch the ball.

Cheat:

 There are a few hidden teams in this game. Here is how to reveal
 them:

 At the user records type in either "tiburon" or Hiscore" and advance
 to the next screen. Next go back to the team selection screen and
 you will see these choices:

 NFC, APC, TIBURON, EA SPORTS, ALL TIME ALL MADDEN, ALL 50'S,
 ALL 60'S, ALL 70'S AND ALL 80'S.
