At the Options Screen, press Up, Down, Right, Up, Down, Right. After you hear the bell, press the
reset button. When you go
back to the Options Screen, you'll see another option called CHEAT.

Fatalities:
Out of the three women in the Fortress, the fatality can only be performed on
Sareena, not Kia or Jataaka. (If you look closely at their costumes in the FMV
following the Prison of Souls level, you will better see which is which when you
fight them.) However, sparing her life will later reward you when you are fighting Quan Chi. Once
you get Quan Chi's life meter down to about 10%
remaining, Sareena will emerge from the teleporter and throw him into the pit,
finishing him off for you. However, if you kill her, she will not appear, and
you will have to defeat Quan Chi entirely on your own. I know this is a long explanation; feel free
to edit it as you wish. I just
think this could help gamers out, especially if they have a hard time defeating
Quan Chi.

Level 1 Finishing Move:
At the end of stage one when you defeat the boss, (Scorpion), it will say FINISH
HIM!! To perform the head rip fatality move one step away and motion Forward,
Down, Forward, High Punch on the control. Then watch as Subbie tears of Scorpions head sending blood
everywhere.

Final battles:
Enter ZCHRRY as a password to start at the Fortress with 20,000
experience points. Hold L + A as Sub-Zero dies before a checkpoint
to face Quan Chi. Hold L + B as Sub-Zero dies before a checkpoint
to face Shinnok.

HINT: Defeating Shinnok:
Once you have reached Shinnok, penetrating his shield is impossible.
Wait until he throws a blast at your character, which usually happens
after he says "Feel My Power". After that happens, prepare to throw
a freeze. Timing is critical -- as soon as he throws his blast throw
your freeze and then freeze him again. Quickly turn and run to the
teleporter to teleport behind him. Quickly turn again, run up behind
him, and press Take to grab the Medallion. Freezing him in the center
of the platform works best because you do not have a lot of time to
run up behind him. He will scream "Not My Medallion" and turn into a
monster. Rayden's Portal will appear. Do not battle the monster.
Instead, jump through the Portal and meet Rayden and Shang Tsung.
