How to cross the river to Gadget Castle
  In the Underground 2 section of Stage 1, the path splits into two sections. Go
  up at the fork and follow the path to the bamboo man, and beat him at a game
  of Roulette to win Bamboo. Now you can cross the river to Gadget Castle, the
  first dungeon.
