Clear the game without using Continues to unlock Extra mode for that character on Normal difficulty or higher. Starting lives do not matter.

Unlocking stages in Practice Start

Complete a stage in the standard game mode with a character at a certain difficulty to unlock the Practice Stage for that character in that difficulty. The number of continues used does not matter.
